How to stop my skin from aging

Good Morning,
Are you over the age of 35?  Have you noticed a change in the rate your skin is aging since turning 30?  In my experience it goes something like this:

When we turn 30 we begin to notice very slight changes.  We look longer in the mirror and question, “Is that a wrinkle I see?”  We notice looking tired when we wake up in the morning, and it might take a little longer for that look to go away.

Then 10 years go by and we’re 40.  At 40 those questions of “Is that a wrinkle I see” are no longer in question, it’s a wrinkle!  Plain and simple.  When we wake up in the morning it takes longer for that tired look to go away, we need a little more cold water on the face, maybe a bit more concealer under the eyes, you get my drift.

Then yet another 10 years flies by and we’re 50.  When we look in the mirror now, not only do we have more lines and wrinkles, they seem to appear over night.  Now when we wake up in the morning we say, “that wasn’t there yesterday!” and all the concealer in the world doesn’t hide those dark circles now. So what do we do?  And why is this happening?

Obviously our skin, as the rest of our bodies, begins to age at birth.  We don’t notice negative changes until later, usually around age 30.  From age 30 forward our bodies and our skin age much more quickly than the previous 30 years.  From age 30 to 40 the rate at which our skin ages almost doubles!   It doesn’t only appear that our skin is aging at an accelerated rate, it actually is.

To keep up with this we have to increase our efforts.  Exercise is the perfect example, the older we get the more calories we need to burn just to keep our current weight, let alone lose some weight.  Skin care is no different.  If you want to slow the process and keep your skin looking as young as possible, you have to do the work.  At least caring for your skin isn’t as painful as exercising, and it takes much less time.

The best thing you can do is treatment cycling and keep up with your monthly or bi-monthly facials, and of course use good skin care products at home between your appointments.  I don’t say this to drive business, I tell you this because it matters to the health and appearance of your skin.  I wish I could go to the gym only once or twice a month and see a difference, unfortunately that’s a daily thing to keep up with the effects of gravity and time.

It’s best NOT to wait until your skin has fallen, before addressing the fact, that it is, in fact, falling.  Sorry to be so blunt, but it’s true.  Again, like exercise, if you wait until you gain 20 pounds to get to the gym it’s going to be that much more difficult to get into shape.

For most I recommend cycling treatments in order to keep both the muscles and tissue engaged at all times.  This requires monthly and sometimes bi-monthly visits to keep ahead of the curve.  Click this link to better understand Treatment Cycling and how it is the answer you have been looking for. There are no miracles or shortcuts…..(well unless you have surgery, that’s a shortcut) if you make a commitment to your skin care treatments you will see the difference.
